In Module Three, we are focusing on "Advancing Your Upgrades through SAP Support." ASUG and SAP Support Bootcamp Series

SAP Support is a topic that is top of mind for ASUG members. At ASUG, we continue to focus on helping our SAP customers drive more value from their SAP Support investments today and in the future.

As part of this ongoing commitment, we are thrilled to bring you the ASUG and SAP Support Boot Camp series. This series is focused on providing you with insight into the various areas of SAP Support that you can and should be taking advantage of.

Each module focuses on a specific topic and has multiple episodes that give you guidance, direction, and resources to help you be successful with that area of SAP Support.

In the five modules, we will be focusing on the following topics:

Module 3: Advancing Your Upgrades through SAP Support

In this Module, there are five episodes. Through these episodes, we will provide you with an overview of the various upgrade tools you can leverage throughout your project. Understand the SAP release and maintenance strategy to receive insight into future direction; know how and when to access the Product Availability Matrix to get up to date information on SAP software releases; access the relevant application specific upgrade information to ensure a successful approach; and learn how SAP Enterprise Support services can help you ensure a successful upgrade.

Episode 1: Strengthen Your Upgrade With the Right Tools

In this session, we will give you an overview of the most important upgrade tools you should be aware of and leveraging, sorted by project phase. We will help in identifying available upgrade paths and provide you with insight on possible upgrade approaches.

Episode 2: Where Do I find Information on SAP’s Release and Maintenance Strategy?

In order to support the planning of SAP software implementation and upgrade projects, the SAP release and maintenance strategy is key to provide insight into future direction and portfolio. Where can you find it, and when should you be using it? Find out in this session.

Episode 3: What is the Product Availability Matrix, and how do I use it?

Through the Product Availability Matrix (PAM), SAP regularly publishes information about SAP software releases: release types, maintenance durations, planned availability, and upgrade paths. The PAM also offers information about platform availability, including database platform and operating systems.

Episode 4: Access Information on SAP Application Specific Upgrades

Planning an upgrade to ERP, CRM, Netweaver? How about a BusinessObjects BI upgrade? Did you know there is specific documentation and information to help you with your core application upgrades? Tune in to this session to learn more.

Episode 5: Upgrade Faster with SAP Enterprise Support Services

Want to ensure a successful upgrade? Use the available services that are part of your SAP Enterprise Support Investment! In this session, learn how to leverage Continuous Quality Checks and Accelerated Innovation Enablement sessions to ensure a smooth upgrade path.
