It's Time for Change Logs Cleanup

Change logs are highly valuable as they document various updates and changes made by the users. However, as with every log, they tend to grow in size and their earlier parts become obsolete.

SAP Business One enables each business to maintain its change logs according to their specific needs. In the “Change Logs Cleanup” utility, you can view the current size change logs recorded for various objects and transactions, and choose which ones should be deleted:

In order to keep the relevant parts of the logs, you must set the date to which the logs will be deleted. For example, you might want to delete changes older than two years. Once cleanup is done, you can view the size of the data that was removed from your company database. This utility also enables you to view previous cleanups, and track the size of logs removed in the past.

Available in SAP Business One 9.3, version for SAP HANA and SAP Business One 9.3. This tip and all the other tips are available on the Tip of the week SCN page. You can also visit the Implementation Arena for useful implementation tips.
